1. Given the following reaction: (hint: balance the equation first)
Na2SO4 + AgNO3 g NaNO3 + Ag2SO4
If you start with 60 mL of a 3.0 M Na2SO4 solution and 40 mL of a 3.0 M AgNO3 solution,
a) determine the limiting reagent
b) using the information from part a, determine the theoretical yield of Ag2SO4
c) determine the number of grams of excess reagent left
Ca(OH)2 + HClO4 g H2O + Ca(ClO4)2
a) If 40 mL of a 1.0 M HClO4 solution is reacted with 60 mL of a 1.5 M Ca(OH)2 solution, determine the limiting reagent
b) Determine the number of moles of H2O produced
c) Determine the number of grams of Ca(ClO4)2 produced
d) Determine the number of grams of excess reagent left over in the reaction
