ENT 3001 Laboratory for General Entomology. Identification, structure and life history of the principle insect orders.  Two hours per week. (Fall)

 

ENT 3003 General Entomology. Introduction to the study of insects, their structure, physiology, behavior and their role in the environment.  Three hours of lecture per week. (Fall)

 

ENT 3011 Economic Entomology Laboratory. Two hours per week, to be taken concurrently with ENT 3013. (Spring)

 

ENT 3013 Economic Entomology.  The scientific principles and integrated pest management of insects and other arthropods.  Lectures emphasize the ecology, biology and life history patterns of insects based on their association with humans, domestic animals and crop systems.  Three hours of lecture per week. (Spring)

 

ENT 4001/5001 Aquatic Entomology.  Identification, life histories, and ecology of aquatic arthropods, with emphasis on freshwater insects.  One hour of lecture. To be taken concurrently with ENT 4002/5002. (Spring-odd)

 

ENT 4103/5103 Forensic Entomology.  The life history, ecology and behavior of insects and related arthropods and how they affect the interpretation of potential crime scenes. Three hours of lecture. (Fall-odd)

 

ENT 6001  Laboratory for Medical and Veterinary Entomology. Two hours per week, to be taken concurrently with ENT 6002 (Spring-even)

 

ENT 6002  Medical and Veterinary Entomology.  A study of arthropod borne diseases, with special emphasis on the disease of humans and domestic animals.  Two hours of lecture per week (Spring-even).

 

ENT 6201 Laboratory for Insect Taxonomy.  Two hours per week to be taken concurrently with  ENT 6202. (Fall-even)

 

ENT 6202 Insect Taxonomy.  A survey of the orders and families of insects, designed to familiarize the student with the use of taxonomic literature and keys.  Two hours of lecture per week. (Fall-even)

 

ZOOL 3122 Invertebrate Zoology.  Classification and natural history of representative invertebrates. Two hours of lecture per week. (Spring-even).

 

ZOOL 3132 Invertebrate Zoology Laboratory. Four hours per week to be taken concurrently with ZOOL 3122.

 

BIOL 1003 Biological Sciences. Biology for non-majors.
