NSF Noyce Program

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The program provides funds to institutions of higher education to support scholarships, stipends, and academic programs for undergraduate STEM majors and post-baccalaureate students holding STEM degrees who commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts.

As an additional component of undergraduate scholarships, a summer workshop is provided for undergraduate students to introduce them to experiences in STEM education, and to provide examples of the integration of research and education.  The goal of this workshop is to interest STEM BS/BA students in STEM teaching as a career, thereby increasing the pool of Noyce Scholarship applicants. Stipends are $450 for students successfully completing the workshop.
