The early bird gets the worm, the late bird gets the rain.
According to Weatherbug, the probability of rain was 88% every hour of the day. I should have gone out in the morning but only got going after noon. And my reward was a five minute shower on the way in to Bourne Pond, and then a steady if moderate rain for the last mile and a half on the way out.
