3 July: Thumb Mountain, Skatutakee, and fireworks in Grafton A rain-threatened day, but the rain held off until late afternoon. Undaunted, a hike to Thumb Mountain in Hancock, NH, and then along ridge to my favorite, Skatutakee.
I had tickets with a friend (thanks, Vermont Yankee!) to an open-air pops-ish concert by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra at Grafton Ponds, and we got lucky that the rain went through in between the hike and the concert.
The evening culminated with fireworks.
