4 August 2009: Norwottuck rail trail (don't have too many egrets, indeed just one) Phone problems necessitated a trip down to Hadley (MA) and so while I was in the area I rode the Norwottuck rail trail from Damron Road in Northampton to Warren Wright Road in Belchertown.
railroad cum bike bridge over the Connecticut River, Hadley/Northampton Tipped off by a woman along the trail, I kept my eyes open for a great egret, and I found it in the marsh near Station Road in Amherst.
When I say "great" egret, that is not my evaluation, just my report of the proper name. |
