6 August 2009: Wilbur Clearing
The trail to the ledge overlooking Williamstown (MA) and the Taconic Mountains of New York is not long--1.9 miles--but it is steep (I figure it at about 2,100 feet).
Some trail views--
I went a half mile beyond the vista point to check out Wilbur Clearing, thinking it might be an old pasture or open space with views of Mt. Williams or Greylock but, no, it is a closed-in shelter area.
