7 June: Heifers stroll and I hike Ann Stokes Loop
After three days of cool rainy or misty weather and lots of fog, things brightened up, and warmed up, for the 7th annual Strolling of the Heifers parade in Brattleboro.
Some of the heifers seemed happy to be there...
...but some needed to be pulled & pushed.
And, after all the livestock had passed, came the clean-up crew--
And so, making the way safe for Senator Bernie Sanders--
In the late afternoon, on a hike on the Ann Stokes Loop, the thermometer went just above 90 degrees, but there was a nice breeze.
