Initial Model Flow Chart Electrospray Modeling

Ion trajectories in electrospray ionization are modeled by simulation of evaporation, fission, and diffusion which vary with physical conditions such as temperature, humidity, and pressure. Statistical Jump Diffusion (SJD) model is used to simulate diffusion at high pressure condition. Because electrospray phenomena involves large molecular masses and highly charged droplets, our computer simulation added extra modifications by an user program in SIMION. All electrostatic fields are calculated by existing Laplace Solver in SIMION without modification. Coulomb repulsion force is also included in the calculation. This simulation does not include Taylor cone.
