My teaching load includes seven courses that cover various topics in entomology and invertebrate zoology. Lecture courses include:

General Entomology (BIO 3303) - the life history and identification of insects.

Insect Taxonomy (BIO 6322) - the study of insect groups. Students will become familiar with insect orders and families using taxonomic literature and keys.

Economic Entomology (BIO 3313) - understanding the scientific principles and integrated pest management practices associated with the control of insects and other arthropod pests.

Forensic Entomology (BIO 4303/5303) - understanding the importance of insects and related arthropods in legal investigations.

Medical and Veterinary Entomology (BIO 6312) - the identification, life histories, and ecology of arthropods of medical and veterinary importance.

Aquatic Entomology (BIO 4301/5301) - the identification, life histories, and ecology of aquatic arthropods, with emphasis on freshwater insects.

Invertebrate Zoology (BIO 3332) - the identification, life histories, and ecology of invertebrate organisms.

Labs (not listed) are separate from the above courses (exception: Forensic Entomology).
